The ILO action towards gender equality in the world of work dates back to the early XXth century. The International Training Centre of the ILO has been an important hub for training and capacity building on this topic, over the last 20 years. The ITCILO Gender Academy, born in 2011 and now at its’ fourth edition, is the leading global event where gender equality advocates can learn and discuss strategies to strengthen links between gender equality, decent work and sustainable development.
